Thought of the Week

If you start appreciating more of what you have - you will find yourself having more to appreciate.

Scripture of the Week

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

Why A Recovery Ministry Main Page

Why a Recovery Ministry?

As a Recovery Addict I want to help other people who have a thinking problem. The unreachable person who may come to church and not go to a AA or NA meeting for fear of being found out or judged or just not clear of what a Self Help program can do for an individual. With 20 years clean from active addiction and now in the process of getting further education on why my thinking was Alcohol or Drugs is the answer to not wanting to deal with life on life terms. For someone else Gambling is the answer to financial or stressful situations. Then there are some who are survivors of abusive relationships and incest just to find them selves back in another relationship that causes them the same horrendous pain they have always been trying to get away from.

The Recovery Ministry is designed to touch the people in this community who are looking for solutions to their problems. There is always that “void” that “gray” area after we are free from that addiction free from that moment of insanity free from that abusive relationship. What is there to do now? If there is no meeting or service available to offer some direction do I just go back or do I seek help from people who are just like me that are seeking a spiritual connection a new way of thinking. Some of us have found God, some of us have found Good Orderly Direction and some are just still wandering from church to Bar’s from Meetings back to the Dealers. This Recovery Ministry is offering a way out. Our Bible based Speakers with the boldness of sharing Experience Strength and Hope to help someone. I just want to help our members and our community with all the outreach programs I can connect to this fellowship. You will find a meeting list for other Self Help programs to help you through the week and eventually other resources as I get them.

This Ministry is for everyone to utilize. Jesus did not hang out with the already saved he reached out to the prostitutes and homeless and thieves. God has taken a Crack addict and turned her into someone who wants to help those who want freedom from mental pain and suffering from behavior that will take them to Jail, Intuitions or Death.
